THE WATER PROJECT

The project has an introductory module and four modules of study. Below is the timeline for the study.

Introductory Messages - February 5th-Feb 23rd
As a class, write an introductory message to send to other participants. You may want to include things that are of interest to your class such as hobbies, sports, geographical information, favorite foods, social customs, historical info. etc. You might even make a database and send a summary of your class. Be creative!
Feb 23rd is the deadline for transmission of introductory letters.

Module One - Feb. 26th-March 16th
Study of 1st module - Water in Our Communities
The students will explore the nature of water in their area and its source. Some activities may include measuring and
graphing daily water fall and comparing it to other classes. Find out about water in your community and share info with other classes.

March 16th is the deadline for transmission of 1st module.

Module Two - March 19th-April 6th

experienced flooding or drought in the past? Graph water over time (years or months) to see patterns.

April 6th is the deadline for transmission of 2nd module.

Module Three - April 9th-April 27th
Study of 3rd module - Using Water Today
Discover how water is used in your area such as recreational uses, etc. Discuss water safety, visit a water treatment plant, etc.

your class can do to improve it.

May 11th is the deadline for the transmission of 4th module.
