Hello to all in Texas!

This is coming from the first bit of land on earth to see the year 2000.

New Zealand is on the other side of the date line, and, as I write this, it is December 30 in Texas but I think New Zealand is already into New Year's Eve (Dec. 31, 1999).

I think this is a wonderful teachable moment.
