Assignment #1 - Net Browsing / Searching
Use the Internet to locate information to in at least five different sites on topics of interest to you:
  1. use Gopher for one browsing task,
  2. Lynx (if available) for another, and
  3. Netscape or some comparable Web browser for others;
  4. Write a brief comparison/contrast of the different ways of browsing/searching the Net for sites

  5. and
  6. E-mail it to all other members of your class plus gknezek@jove.acs.unt.edu.
  7. Produce summaries of information you find at each site, in the format below:
  8. come to class on the due date prepared to show your simple web page containing the five summeries.
Turn in a copy of the six pages (comparison/contrast plus five summaries) with your name on the front page and a staple in the upper left hand corner.

Assignment #2 - Storyboard
Work in pairs to storyboard and implement a 5-10 slide tutorial on some Internet related topic. Build the presentation in Powerpoint and convert to HTML.
Due Date: Monday, July 20 at the beginning of class

Assignment #3 - WebPage Construction:

Construct your own web page on a floppy disk, and have it provide links to at least two other sites of interest to you. Also, have a link from your home page back to the CECS 5420 class page. Place your picture on your web page and your tutorial.
